Icon6 New Sound system

So I just bought my first car which is a 2001 Honda Accord coupe at a used car dealership, but the car was a repo; and the other owner cut, ripped the wires out where the radio and speakers use to be. I would have bought a wiring unit, but they snapped that off. I'm pretty much on the basic levels when it comes to cars, so I really don't know what I am to do.

Can you still see and get to the wires that were cut?

Yeah, post it up. Do you think you would be able to connect the wires yourself?

First things first, you need to put electrical tape on the end of EVERY wire. NOW! The last thing you want is to burn your car to the ground b/c of a short. And use some zip ties to get that wire up from under your pedals. Just hook it to anything under the steering wheel. It looks like the old owner had a small amp and subs in the trunk, as well as a hook-up for an mp3/ipod. Are you wanting to put an amp and subs in?

All right that sounds easy enough. Yeah i've been looking online to find one that best suits my taste and my budget.

Oh i forgot to mention about this little red switch that's right next to the TCS and the Cruise control buttons no idea what's it for i asked around a little and got different answers. One says that it helps my engine out once it's 5+ RPMs, another said it was hooked up to the sound system, and there's a red cable from what i think is coming out of that general direction.

Thanks for helping me out so far.

If the thick red wire under your pedals in the first pic goes to that switch, then it is your amp turn-on switch. I didn't see a remote wire for the amp in the trunk, so that's probably what it is. It is to turn your amp on and off so it doesn't drain the battery. A very ghetto and potentially dangerous way to power an amp on/off. I may be wrong though. I wish you lived in Texas. I love doing audio and have hooked all of my boys up. Build custom boxes too. Cell phone pic of box for my '02 Accord with "hammered steel" paint. 2 12's and 1600w rms. Tries to push my windshield out.
