Default 01 civic shift boot removal

I am trying to pull my shift boot off of a 01 sedan and for the life of me, i cant pry it off. Are there any screws holding the bottom of the boot (the plastic the "leather" is attched to) or is it just held to the rest of the console by pressure tabs like just about everything else on the vehicle? I know how to get the **** off, but no amount of prying is making the plastic come loose.

Also, I am looking for a center console with the armrest. I know majestic has a flip down that you can attach to the seat, but i dont really like those. Ive searched a few junkyards and havnt found anything in good shape or the right color. does anyone know a good place to look?

thanks!

If I remember right there are 1 or 2 screws that hold the silver piece in which holds the shift boot in.

so do you have to remove the entire console to pop it out? I know you can easily pull the piece behind it off (the one surrounding the parking brake) by just prying it.

Ok the whole top of the console comes off, then there is one screw holding the silver peice on, then the actual shift boot is held to the console with several staples.

to get the entire console that has the armrest with storage bin underneath it you need an 03-05. magestic honda or a junk yard is your best bet.

A junk yard would most likely be cheapest. do you want tan or black? I have two tan consoles.
