Hey guys I just finished swapping a D16Y7 motor into my EF and whenever I turn the key over the brake light would come on and it wouldn't turn over... It also isn't throwing any codes so are there any reasons on why it would't start up or turn over at all?

well, something is wired wrong.. did it run before the swap?

have you tried jumping the starter by hand with a wire? MAKE SURE ITS IN F***ING NEUTRAL!!! lol

 

Yes it ran before the swap... And when I tried to jump the starter straight to the battery it didn't do anything and I tried it with 3 different starters

 

then you have a bad battery cable or battery.. if you are jumping it from one to the other, then its somethingl ike that

now, does it not even turn over, like NO NOISE? or does it turn and not start?

 

It clicks and doesn't turn over at all

 

and by brake light I meant the light on the cluster thats for the parking brake

 

can you turn your motor over by hand from the crank pulley? your motor may be seized.. try that JUST TO MAKE SURE.. it wont hurt to check

 

Yeah I already tried turning it by hand

 

Haha I admit it... I'm a retard I forgot to hook up the ground for the tranny

 

HAHA.. yeah.. ALWAYS check that first.. lol.. at least it was something easy..
