1998 Honda Accord V6 Intake Sound
I recently put in a K&N Filter for a little more pep. Just wanted to know if there was any easy modification to get a better sound out of the intake without buying some SRI. I notice this plastic black piping device held on by a clamp under the main intake hose. Maybe removing and capping that would do something?
Anything would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the idea, any way of easily removing it without taking off the front bumper? Had the car painted and what not. Don't wish to hassle too much over something simple.
Fortunately if you are fairly careful, you should be able to remove it without damaging it. Its just the 2 screws in the wheel well and the pop clips and screws on the bottom.
Good luck.
I have a 2001 V6 EX and I just pulled the fender liner out of the way to pull that part of the intake off. I also opened up the hole on the air cleaner box.
why not get a aem short ram intake with a k&n cold air intake filter thats what i got on my civic and it sounds like a turbo building up but just without the pressure release
Of course I wonder what the pain-in-the-a** level is on this. Also I have a 4 door, then again I doubt that would change much of where the resonator is.

you can probably take it off by just pulling back the fender liner, thats how it worked on my old 4 cylinder back when i was new to cars and couldnt figure things out on my own hahaha. but it is MUCH MUCH easier to take the bumper off....especially since that doesnt take long itself.

I thought that there was/were screw(s) you couldn't get to by just pulling it back, but hell, its been like 3 years since I did that. I also had to take off the bumper to put my new headlight housings in, so I had to remove it regardless.
