Default soon to order new motor, questions on which ecu to run...

ok, i recently had problems with my d16z6, (rev limit/no vtec). my buddy ran the cel scan
and the code it threw he said was for the cam positioning sensor, not sure of the code but he's
the mechanic not me. Anyways story short in 2 weeks i am ordering a d15b from hmotors
and was wondering could i use my p28 ecu or do i need the p06 from hmotors? I'm aware vtec is
5600 on the p06 and 4800 on mine, but would it be safe for the motor to run the z6 ecu?

anyone....my buddy is running a p28 from a z6 on his mini-me (d15b nonvtec block z6 head)
and his car runs fine.
would my case be the same?
point is i don't want to buy an ecu if it's not needed.
-Thanks, Mike.

Where do you get your ECU info? P06 is a Non-VTEC ECU in stock form. It runs the D15B7.

Its cool, from what I have seen most people that swap in a D15B VTEC seem to run the P28 ECU with the Z6 map without any problems.

If u use the P28 I'm 98% sure ur going to throw a CEL because the D15B doesn't use a VTP sensor and the P28 requires it, I read something about that on here but don't recall 100%.

I don't think there is a place for the sensor on the D15b head but maybe also if u chip the P28 ecu and tune it u can just turn that sensor off, either that or just use the P08.
