Default 97 Accord VTEC Sudden Oil Spill

97 Accord VTEC Sudden Oil Spill
HELP!!

I have an Accord with the VTEC engine with 81,000 miles. Today I was driving and the oil light started flashing. I stopped and looked under the car and a HUGE puddle of oil was forming from the front of the engine. I immediately shut it down and called a tow.

Can someone help with what might have happened? There has never been any oil leaks and there was no oil on the floor of the garage before I left.

doen't this sound like that famous oil leak problem where honda had a recall done for free and shiet..? my mom's bf's car was sitting in the parking lot one day and next day-oil was everywhere... either someone didn't screw something on properly or it's that honda problem that needs to be fixed by the dealer (for free...)

The customer will be givin the option of replacing the water pump for an additional 100 bucks or so, its a killer deal.
