I changed my oil the other night and forgot to pick up an oil filter. I'm wondering if I can change my oil filter without oil leaking out of the oil filter hole?

Yes it will, how much oil you will lose I do not know.

After you replace the filter, remove the the oil distick to make sure your oil leve is on point.

I doubt you would lose alot of oil.

all you loose is what's still trapped in the filter and filter bung. like the dipstick shows the rest of your oil is down in the pan.. i'd be suprised if it were any more than 8 fl.oz.

That's kinda what I thought. I figured that most, if not all, of the oil would be below the oil filter hole, but I would just be guessing.
