helpppppppppp!!!!!
i have a d16z6. i recently changed the alternator. after that i have had a problem with my rev limiter and vtec.
vtec won't engage and my limiter hits at 5,500 vs. 7,200. my ecu is a virgin, i reset it also and
replaced my fuses. I also replaced all my grounds and checked all my electrical connections....
please somebody what could be the problem?

well that is going to make this process almost impossible. that light will lead you directly to the problem and will save all the guessing and time. can you get that fixed and re-diagose?
Did you even read the forum sticky on topic creation?

Example?
Let's say you're having trouble with a B18B OBD1 engine swap into a 1995 Civic and you're throwing some check engine codes, and the engine won't start.
A good topic title would be:
"Help with B18B swap won't start in my 95 Civic
"
A bad title, and a common title we've been seeing more and more of lately:
"Need help"
or
"Emergency!"
or
"Got a Question!"
You get the idea. Not only will this get quicker specific help from other people who have experiences the same problem or helped with it, but it also gives other H-Ters key words to search when they encounter similar problems.
It's a waste of resources for an excellent tech topic that answers some very specific questions/problems cannot be searched and found under our search engine because it's title was a vague "Got a Question" etc. etc.
From now on please keep this in mind, thanks.

no alternator wouldnt fix the problem.... alternator is just to charge up the battery really....
i think its one of your sensors thats causing it cause my buddys 04 civic ex had the same problem except at 4k rpm limit, no vtec and he bring it in...
timing belt was screwed, one of the sensors on the intake manifold was bad, and that set off his safe mode
