Default vtec problem

ok i have a b16bottom block with a gsr head and its all stock with a gsr trans and its running on a chipped p61 ecu(b17 92-93 gsr)....and my problem is that for soem odd reason when i hit it in first its fine then second its fine then once i hit third gear and v tec kicks its like making a sound of it like jus not normal and v tec doesnt work with check engine light poping on and after that itll do that for all gears but once u turn off the car it goes away untill u hit it again so can some one help me on this situation......im sorry i cant explain it really good but when i get my camera back ill try to record my problem im trying to find out

there is no codes im guess its prob cause of the dizzy not giving it enough power 2 it cause it was a ls dizzy ghetto rizzed 2 fit.
