Pretty much what it says!

I just bought an 03 with 100,000khms on it (64,000 Miles). I am prolly gonna take it to Honda and get a 100000 khm service done on it. I just want to know what ppls khms are and how reliable the engine is... I am a Mazda guy with ALOT of Mazda know how... I am all new to the Honda though, and I know they are known for there reliability.

 

Hell yeah. I've seen many over 100,000 miles. seen some over 200,000. Only a couple over 300,000mi. But you have to remember, the car isn't that old either. It is a very reliable car

Its a great engine

 

Check the oil every other fill up and top off as needed. Motor should last a long while.

AWEOME motor! i have an ap1, i dont know about ap2, but that 9,000 rpm is something amazing. Feels like you are driving a formula one car. I drive the **** out of my car but i am also very meticulous about maintances and to this day, still have NO problem whatsoever.

 

It all depends on how well you take care of it. I've seen s2ks that blow up at 50k and some that last over 150k. It all depends on how you drive and maintain thr car. Mine has 55k on it and it still has great compression, but I chAnge the oil every 2000 miles or every two months what ever comes first. It's a great motor but the history of the car is the key factor of how long the engine should last
