Default obd1 motor in a obd2 car

Im doing a b16a in my 99si. everything is hooked up right but wasn't running. i took it to a guy to have it tuned. he got it to start but when i drive the car it won't go over 3000rpms. he said he couldn't tune it all the way cause i don't have the crank angle sensor hooked up and just puts the car in limp mood. i know on my b16a2 the sensor was down on the crank. and on the jdm motor its not. i was told its on the dizzy. im using my 0bd2 dizzy and wiring harness. if i have to run a wire from my dizzy were to i run it to. my ecu or back to the crank plug? any help would be great and if i forgot to put any info in lmk
thanks

I don't know why people keep saying that, OBD1 USDM and OBD1 and OBD2 JDM engines don't have a CKF sensor, period. OBD1 and OBD2 D and B-series distributors are electrically identical, the only difference being the physical plug(s). You will need to perform what is known as the CKF fix, this tricks your OBD2 USDM ECU into thinking there is a functioning CKF sensor present, see the following link for more info ---> http://ff-squad.com/technet/ckftrick.htm
