Hello to everybody out there, here is the deal, my friend took off the supercharger kit off of odyessey(not sure what year) he installed it on(D16y8) and now when he gets up to 5400rpm it back fires, he did installed the map sensor that was in the kit, thats how it runs on odyssey ecu,(not at all on stock) i told him that he needs to chip it, so my question is what brand of charger he has? thats what is says on it "M45 CS compressor" Where do i get the map? Whats the easyest way to fix this?

It's an Eaton M45, and your friend needs a tunable chip, and a few hours on a dyno. No stock ECU will work for him. The backfire is a sign of running rich or lean; almost definitely lean. His motor will be screwed if he doesn't have it tuned, if it's not already destroyed.

 

He should have P28 right? just chip that, i think it will be fine. Where can he find chip he's in europe and not much too spend
