Default Downpipe flange, did anyone ever invent a 5 bolt -> v-band adapter??

Been out of the game for a while. Personally, I love v band and the ease of use that comes with it. My turbo and the turbo I will probably always have, has the standard 5 bolt T3 exhaust flange. Did anyone ever make a flange that bolts up to the turbo and then converts it to v-band??

On my old turbo the bolt holes were all fubar when I got it and taking my DP off one day 2 bolts broke off in it. I got sick of that crap and bought a 2.5" - 3" reducer and V-band setup from ATP. Took it to a friends shop that is a fabricator for a living and this is what we did

Ran the turbo like that for over a year and sold it to a friend, he just made 401 whp last week on it and still running strong

so you bought the reducer seperate, welded it to the turbo, welded one side of the v-band to that.....

Happen to have a pic of it from dead straight on?? Im curious how it looks and to get a gauge of the width of how far it sticks out from the turbo.

The $150 peakboost adapter seems like it would be right on par cost wise as this setup you posted.

Any adapter is going to be $$$. Fabricating it yourself is the way to go!

I paid like 100$ for mine, to have someone make it. It would be alot cheaper to fab up your own V-band.

Yea I was going to say I dont know how you thought mine cost as much as peakboost adapter plate.

I payed $15 for my transition

And $39 for my v-band clamp set.

If you already have the T3 exhaust flange order those 2 things and your set. Or you may not even need the transition with the flange, just use a short piece of 3" with the V band on the end

Does a 3" vaband flange not just weld right up tot he housing, or do you need the 2.5 - 3" adapter

^^ How did your friend weld the stainless transducer to the iron turbo housing? I hear it's a pain that's why I'm asking.

You know I really have no clue lol He is a good friend of my g/f's dad. I know he is a fabricator for a living and builds 4X4 rock crawling buggies from scratch in his spare time. I just gave it to him and let him do his thing.
