Default questions and opions. del sol. timing belt.

So my timing belt recently broke while i was driving. low rpms. but still broke. was thinkning about replacing it and the water pump. and hope for no bent valvles or anything. but its very low percent that didnt happen. or i could replace my whole engine. but im not a mechanic genious or anything im a nerd. ha. and i dont know of anywehere where they could swap my engine for cheap around cincinnati ohio. i only want my smae d16 back in it. i know where i can get one for 500 from a import place up by me. but no one to replace it. and i dont really rely on my friends... (they the mechanics who think they know of everything and will end up ****ing my car up even more)
Does Anyone Know where a good shop is to do engine swaps for cheap?
And what would you do?
i also could take my heads off and get them machined for 150 also. but i heard they usually dont seal back on right or something?
please help. ha
i need my del sol back. i hate the tank bus.

take it apart and get your head checked out for bent valves. at this point might as well change the headgasket and get new headstuds for it. even at low rpm's there is still a chance of messing a valve and or mess up your bottom block. easiest way to go is get the head checked out and resurface it for flatness..and if you do it right then no it shouldnt leak or anything..Honda bond FTW....

You can also, as a preliminary check, remove the valve cover and look for excessive valve clearance. If a valve has a 1/4" clearance you know the valve is bent and hanging open. Since it sounds like you are doing the work yourself you can also just replace the belt and see what happens, you really aren't going to make the damage much worse.
