Hey there, already ran a search with no luck...
I picked up a set of GC's for my EF and on the springs it reads
180.64.44
and
180.64.61
i know that the last 2 digits represent the spring rates (44) (61) but what is it in lbs? i believe this is in newtons but i'm so confused because 1 newton is .2248 lbs? how would that work?!

Spring rates aren't measured in weight (lbs), they're measured in force (lbs/in).
They're probably 44 and 61 N/m, in which case they would be 250 and 348 lbs/in springs.
And that conversion I got from the first result of a google search...

Learning how to make the most of Google would be a good thing.

i'm just curious as to why you say that because a friend of mine will most likely tell me to stiffen the rear. any more insight is appreciated stock_sohc_dx

Because of there is more weight in the front. It's more comfort @ these rates. If you wanted to stiffen up the rear I would run stiffer all the way around. 8k/6k or 10k/8k
put the 350 up front first. thats the way it was designed. you dont seem like you need to be messing around with custom setups. but when you do, get stiffer rates to replace the rears from 250 to whatever.
250 up front is kinda low.

the 350's are for the front
and the 250's were for the rear, I am curious though how much stiffer than stock it will feel. I was worried the rears would be a tad too soft. I have the koni yellows to compliment them
will be running 14x7 panasports with 195/60/14
can i just tune the shocks to be on the more firm side to dial in a more responsive feel in turn in?
Thanks! please feed me your knowledge Tyson!

While turning is what i mean to say.. not "responsive feel in turn in?" or better yet through dips and imperfections in the road
ive ridden in CRX's with koni GC regular springs. its fine. itll be much different than stock. work from there. adjust it the way you want it.
id focus on a rear swaybar next.

Hey thanks Tyson, the only thing i worry about with stiff rears is snap over steer on these short wheel base cars.. I swung my type R sideways and its gone now.... I know now to keep on the throttle but once it was out, it was too late to push through.. is there anyway to avoid this
dont drive like an idiot?
sorry if that sounds harsh. but theres no reason your rear end should come out if you drive within reason.
