My wipers will pause mid wipe sometimes.. and wait 1, 2, 3, ... 8 seconds before it starts back up. I always forget about it, till it rains and then I'm like "AHHH DAMMIT I FORGOT TO ASK THE GUYS AT HONDA-TECH AGAIN!!!" So whats the verdict guys??? Am I hosed? Someone said it was a recall for this, is that true? Does that mean Honda will fix it for free?

Mines a 2003 V6 auto EX with about 117k miles on it...

There was a recall on the wiper motor due to possible corrosion, if the motor was okay then they installed a wiper cover. If your problem is not related to the motor corrosion, it will not be covered.

This problem only affects .012% of all 2003 Accords but because it is safety related they issued a total year recall.

 

there is either a motor replacement recall or just a cover that goes over the motor, two different parts of that recall, just take it in and see what they say
