Default Is there a drop axle for integra's?

It's obvious after studying suspension images that the stock axle is a little too long when it comes to dropping the suspension too much.

I'm sure there would be some knowledeable foundation for this since it does seem quite obvious.

Anyhow, let me know what you've found on the matter.

I thought the axles would bind if the car was lowered too much. No?

They shouldn't.

The axle finds itself under a steeper angle when you have the wheel turned to full lock. If it doesn't bind when turning sharp, it shouldn't bind after slamming the car.

Now, there are plenty of other additional stresses placed on the various parts of the car after excessive lowering, but unless you're pushing crazy power I wouldn't be overly concerned about axles.

Man there sure seems to be a lot of people who pinpoint their axle problems as being a result of slamming their cars. These people say that when they raise the suspension back up, they never have axle troubles again.

In the case of a slammed suspension, the axle obviously slides too far into the joint, and bottoms out, which binds the axle joint. Thus, the axle fails rather soon.

Am I missing something here, because I thought this was a fairly common problem?
