Need help deciding between my 2 turbos.
Alright so I have a Turbonetics t4 60-1 bb turbo but the compressor housing is smaller than my second turbo which is a stage 5 t3/t4 turbonetics 57trim I believe. I'm not that good at identifying turbos So I will post up pictures asap.
But my setup follows:
b18c1 RS sleeved
ls crank/rods
arias 9:1 pistons
stock gsr head with supertech valvetrain
skunk2 IM
I want to hit a max goal of 600whp I think I can hit that with the t4 but for now I'm thinking of just DD it with like 350 to the wheels. Do you think it's best if I just get my original setup in and tuned so I dont have to switch turbos later? Will the bb t4 be good to DD and spool as good as the regular t3/t4?

Don't let the housing stuff get to you so much. both can work well, like you said, if you want 350whp, you could use either one, but the characteristics may be a little different. The question is, do you want to change manifolds to fit the turbo, or have an adapter flange, which might place the turbo in a different spot then the downpipe was designed for?
Well what I was going to do was use the t3/t4 setup first and tune with chrome because i already have the manifold and 550cc injectors then when I have more money to buy bigger injectors and a good t4 manifold I was going to switch it up and turn up the boost and retune on hondata probably. But I mean if there isn't really a big spool up difference between the 2 turbos then I will just wait and put the t4 turbo on. But mainly what I want right now is just a fun daily driver that will spool up good. Later on I'll try to hit 10's.
Stay with the T3 setup then. You have more bolt up choices to "hit 10s" in the way of turbos at a later time with the T3 from either BW or Garrett camps.
