I appologize if this has been covered. I am rather ignorant on the tuning aspects of a turbo car. I am starting to look at my options for tuning, but I want to make sure the guy knows what he is doing. That being said:

What should I look for in a tuner?

Are there any questions I should ask to make sure the person is competent?

Anything I should steer clear of?

 

I always look at the cars they have tuned, how well the run, how fast they go and how often if at all they blow up...

experience. the more cars, the more experience. by this, im sure they have run into their share of problems along with solutions. variety of tuning abilites is also something to look at. someone who can tune on a bunch of different programs will most likely tell you that they know what theyre doing. each program has their own aspects, ways to tune and different features...giving this tuner more knowledge as well as experience.
