inputshaft movement.
ok, looking at a tranny to rebuild and i found one, but the inputshaft moves up and down when you wobble it, i know its needs the isb, but im sure movement like that is not to good for the rest of the tranny. is it worth getting?
If you pick it up, make sure you get it pretty cheap so that in case you have to possibly replace more than you think right now, so it won't be a complete waste.
where are the detents on this style trans? i have the helms for the 90-93 teg, but it only shows the break down for the 92-93 big spline case.

the isb was the only thing trashed. what do yal think about the guts? i have no clue what im looking at. i see the syncros and they are pointy like the helms says.

this is the only gear im worried about

also i marred up the housing where the isb goes when i removed it. i was thinking about using my y1's clutch case was just swapping the guts. or could i use the j1's case?
Dog teeth on two of the gears look worn. 1/2 hub is scratched up, slider is probably worn, 1st gear is damaged. If that trans came to me, I would recommend replacing the above items.
k, sorry for the newb questions, how can you tell the hub is scratched, the first is worn, and the dog teeth are worn? again im sorry for the newbness
is it the dogteeth on first or is it the gear itself? im just trying to learn what to look at now for future reference

oh ok, im going to go look at it and see if i can see it. today im yanking out my y1 and opening it up and seeing whats going on on the inside. i appreciate yals input and help, honda-tech at its roots!
k good because the base part where the 3 bolts bolt it down its cracked. i test fit it the tranny works. i just want to replace it with a working part.
ok, say i cant find a replacement, i know how to weld cast and tempered metals, would it be ok to weld the crack or braze it shut? and grind smooth?
