ok i have a 91 civic with a 0bd1 conversion. i am throwing code 5,9 when i start the car it barly runs. but i can give it gas and it will throttle up but after about 30 sec it kicks over and sounds and runs like it should. and starts but if i hit the throttle it bogs and dies any ideas all my wire is rite but when i throttle the lights flicker any ideas wold be great thx

 

I don't know Honda codes, but it sound like a bad injector (or possible injector wiring). Pull each injector and make sure that they're spraying correctly. Check your fuel filter as well (maintenance). If those fail, then check your fuel pump.

By the way, have you done any maintenance lately, such as plugs and wires?

 

what engine setup are you running? are you using the map sensor on your firewall?

 

code 5 is MAP sensor en code 9 is CYP sensor

 

i know this sounds weird, but check your fuses and make sure that they are all the proper size fuses, ive seen having a 7.5 fuse in a 15 do this before.. can tremember which circuit it was for though.
