on the market for coilovers.
well as the title says im in the market for some good coilovers. im looking for something i can drive daily and hit the track once in a blue. right now my top picks are JIC FLT-TAR, Buddy club N+ dampner, tein mono flex. they will be going into my 98 ek hatch along with asr subframe with swaybar kit, lower control arms, and beaks bar and front suspension technique sway par. and 2000 si disc conversion all around. can anyone give me some reviews as to these 3 coilover set ups or even personal experience with them if possible.
Definitely look at PIC's. They have a great product and the best customer service, and in that price range you could get the pics with adjustable dampening. They like 900 something in the sponsor marketplace. Buddy clubs are nice, but they can be really stiff for daily even with it on the softest setting. Teins are alright but there are better options for the money. The one person I know that has JIC likes them and she auto-x's all the time, but its not a daily driver.

I'd go w/ pics. I was gonna get those but didn't have the extra money at the time and one of our sponsors was selling BC N+ specs for 644 shipped w/ out top hats so I got those for my DC and I like them!!
Out of the 3 you have mentioned I have owned all 3. The JIC magics will last a good 4 to 5 years. Buddy Clubs weren't valved at all for the street also the adjuster **** was pretty much useless. The Tein Flex's were the best on the street and cone chasing the price sucked. I recently switched to AMR because they are custom built to my specs and the lifetime warranty. So far they are on par with the Flex's.
im looking into a pair of Function n Form type 1 coilovers, a friend of mine had them on his em1 and i think the ride felt great. the price is not bad considering that they are street coilovers. unless ur looking for something more expensive like zeal then thats aiming towards track use
thanks for the advice everyone. yeah i was looking at some thing like 14k/16k or 12k/14k minimum since i will be doing a fair share of racing here and there.
I don't think you need something that stiff, make sure you have a really good tire and get supporting mods like a rear sway bar and 10k/8k or 12k/10k would be good enough.
My koni yellow/ground control coming soon, so I can't really say nothing about them yet. The three coilovers I have read about was ky/gc, pic select, and amr that has no complaints yet.
after doing further research, and lots of thinking. yeah ill be going either 10k/12k or at the highest 12k/14k do to the fact i will be doing more street daily driving then anything else. this is my work car so i will not be beating on it at the track so often. thanks everyone for the great help. by the way along with my coilovers i am also getting asr subframe with sway bar, rear lca's, beaks tie bar, front sway bar, and front omni power lca's so i believe my set up will driving spectacular on the road....
That's going to be a lot of rotation with rear bias rates and an asr sway. I'd say try it out without the sway at first.
Edit: get 12/10 rates with the rear sway bar. With a lower rear rate, it will ride more comfortably on the street.

Really? They pretty much sucked for the street. You can also throw any type dampening of adjusting right out the window. If you say your going with them for the price then I would believe you.
Well any coil over suspension will pretty much be harsh for street, but I researched a lot and actually even took a ride in a friends car witj buddy club N+ and I liked it. The price is pretty good as well. I have seen cheaper like D2 and k sport but they did not satisfy what I was looking for really. So buddy club it is.
