With that price range I would go with Skunk2's http://www.ebay.com/itm/Skunk2-Racin...46f59f&vxp=mtr

I have heard only bad things about skunk2's, although I have personally never driven with them. Everyone seems to recommend ground control coilovers mated to either koni or tokico struts. Those are around $800 or so, but supposedly they are worth it.

Personally, I'm saving up for the GC/Tokico Illumina pairing, I've heard really good stuff about them.

You can't buy anything quality for $400. Keep saving.

for daily driving I'd recommend the Tein ComfortSport or D2 coilovers. I have friends with both setups overseas with worse roads and still love them. Don't get eBay unless you're prepared to switch out your suspension every 6 months.

Don't go Skunk 2 there crap for the price.

I have had Raceland coilovers for about 2 years now daily drivin and for the price they are great. Would not track the car on them but if you want some low there great for the price.

Oh. Forgot about Disgracelands. You should give those a shot. I wouldn't, but that's just me.

Don't know what people's issue is with RaceLand coilovers there great for less then 400 bucks. Usually the people who dislike them don't even have first hand experience with them they just knock them because of there price. Again have had mine on my car for two years not one issue same with my buddies on his EK. My older brother is also rocking them on his 92 VW GLI no issues.

If they work for you or anyone else then more power to you. As I said; I can't see how sub $500 coilovers can be what they make them out to be.

Like I said would never take these to a track and start whipping my car around riding on these. But for some low and daily driving I'm very happy with them.

1-10 I'd give them an 8 but then again I'm riding pretty low almost tucking 15's. OEM ride height there great. The welding on them is very well done. Better then OEM couldn't tell you bought the car 3 years ago on no name lowering springs then went straight to these so I can't really say.
