Weird noise when driving slow (1st gear)
Hoping you guys can help me out. 5th gen Prelude. The noise only happens at low speeds, only in 1st gear. It usually happens right around the time I'm riding the clutch/getting off the clutch at around maybe 5 mph (revs at around 1-2k). The noise doesn't appear in any other gears. It is sorta like a humming noise (not too loud, but you can sure hear it), and I can feel a little vibration through the pedal sometimes. The owner says the clutch had already been replaced. Any ideas guys? I'm thinking maybe the clutch wasn't installed fully correctly? Maybe the axles? I'll try to post a video clip soon. Otherwise, the transmission has been running flawless with no grinds or any other abnormalities.
Any insight would be great.

Its an early warning sign that your synchros in the transmission are going. I know its a big problem in d and b series vehicles.
I had a car go 300 miles with this problem, so its nothing to worry about too much until it spreads to making the noise in all the gears.

Yeah, as of now it is driving great, just the noise gets annoying sometimes in heavy traffic. I hope it's nothing too serious, I'll get under the car when I get time to inspect things to see maybe if it's just something rattling.
Any one else had this problem?
