Interlock never gets its ground
I have an issue with this 94 accord I got and from reading around on this site, I can tell this is a hot topic. Sorry for posting yet another *ing interlock post but i didnt want to boost someone elses when nothing here matches this same issue.
The interlock solenoid is fine, it checks 20 ohms and it sucks in when I test it. The brake lights are on when you push the brakes and the horn works and fuses are naturally in tact (1,30). I also plugged in a a spare, known good brake switch, to see if just by chance only half of my brake switch was working because it has 4 wires, and the thing solenoid was was still dead. Interesting to note here that the brake switch contacts diagnolly and also when you push it one of these connections opens, and the other circuit connects. No matter what i do, never does that green wire going out from the solenoid ever have a ground, specifically when I hit the brakes. The solenoid never works, not even here and there, and yes the key is on and battery voltage is consistantly at the yellow wire on the solenoid. I was wondering if any body on here knows exactly where this thing gets its ground so i can go chasing after it. The situation is personal now, and had i known where this road was headed i would have gone a different way..
I read on here it gets it from the drivetrain control module, which i have no clue if there is such on thing on these cars, so i interpreted that to be my transmission control, which i swapped that out with a known good one, and put a 4th gen one in there after that just for curiosity, and on all 3 computers the car drove like it was new, but the dam solenoid was still dead on the scene.
What is the next step?
