If the whistle noise is coming from your intake, there's nothing wrong. It natural for the intake to whistle sometimes if the noise is coming from your intake. I went through two set of different intake and both made the whistle noise.

yea i know that, but if it were the intake whistleing then wouldnt it whistle while the throttle was being pushed while the car was in nuetral? Thats why i cant test it sitting in my driveway. lol

ok its not exhaust leak and it has nothing to do with a intake manifold or the intake. beacuse i had a 98 gsr and i had a same problem which i posted a while back a go. i had stock intake stock echaust system. dont think somthing is wrong with your motor too beacuse thats what i though my mechanic did leak down test and comparison test and my motor was perfect. whatever it is its not a big deal.

how can you be so sure it's not his intake. i know of lots of aftermarket intake pipes that whistle. mine does it all the time.

this may sound really weird but turn off your radio and go for a spin! sometimes certain head units make a high pitched noise like a whistle. it only happens when your driving. im not sure why but it does happen.

It's the stock throttle body, and it's 100% normal and OK. The stock airbox muffles the sound, so it isn't noticeable until you put an aftermarket intake onto the car. My GSR does this also, and if you look around you'll find that most others do also.

The reason you can't hear it while parked is because the engine isn't under enough load to have the throttle at that position for long enough to sustain the whistle.

HAHHAHAHHAH! WOO WOOO!!! only in the mornin only in the mornin..you supposed to be up cooking breakfast in the morning...its like an alarm clock.

dude...IT'S YOUR INTAKE/THROTTLE! The whistle occurs when you open the throttle by PUSHING the accelerator. The combination of high suction and a small throttle creates the noise. If you have a friend, tell him to play with the throttle in neutral, pop open the hood you'll hear it.

Because I had a stock intake system on my car and the car was making the whistle noise still so I know for a fact it wasn’t the intake my friend. Here is the picture

i have changed my throttle body to Skunk2 70 mm and it would make this whistle noise at 2600 rpm, sounds just like a turbo.

It's your intake. And for some reason, no it wont make the whistle while it's in neutral.

I got bigger cams so now I can't hear the whistle...

it seems like you intake doesnt look like a GS-R...it looks like a LS intake! did you check your intake manifold gasket or your throttle! cause my GS-R has a short ram intake that blows like turbo...its running fine and strong?
