Default OBDII B16a2 distributor plug and EX harness

Hey guys, I have a little problem. I have an 00' Civic EX and am swapping in a B16a2 from a 00' SI. I have encountered the distributor plug wire where the b16 distributor plug does not match the ex plug on the harness. Is there anyway I can splice the distributor plug connector from my d16 onto my b16 distributor plug?

the guy that sold me the engine has the stock SI harness and threw away the plug because he went h2b. Can I get this plug from the dealership? Please I really need some advice on this.

here's the SI plug:

and here's the EX plug

I looked at the wires and the SI plug has 9 wires and the EX harness has 8 wires. Anyway around this?

so should I just splice whatever wires match together and just leave the left over one disconnected?

You can just swap the CYP/CKP/TDC sensors from the old Y8 distributor into the B16 distributor, or you can cut the plug off any '96 - '98 civic harness and splice it onto your harness.

yah in the faq section there's a plug diagram to help you. i depinned and repinned the connector when i did mine. when it comes to the dizzy i don't think it's a good idea to be cuttin and splicin wires. seems like a problem down the road waiting to happen.
