Heya, I have a 93 civic hatch, and my hood wont open. Previously it had issues shutting /staying closed, but now it won't open haha. I tried using the hood release inside the car but there's no tension and thus the hood won't open. How can I go about getting it open? I think its about time for a new latch and cable. But first I need to get the hood open. Someone told me to reach under the fender and grab the cable, but uh, you can't reach directly under the fender. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you much

You might have to take off a few screws and clips off the inner fender first. Then see if this guys instructions in post #4 will work:
