Default Wheels won't turn!!! '90 B18A1 into '91 CRX SI

We've dropped the B18 into the CRX but as we went to push it out of the garage we found the front wheels won't turn. The tranny and axles are good (shift linkage not in yet), i'm more than a little confused but it was getting dark by this time so we kinda gave up for the time being. Tomorrow we're going to check it out and see if it's something stupid we missed, anybody ever have a similar experience or have some idea of what we should look for??

Did you remove the metal spacer rings on the hubs and the dust ring on the axle? That will keep you from being able to turn the wheels once they are tightened down. Also, is it in gear?

If the steering wheel turns without effort and does not have any return-to-center tendency, then how about checking to see if the steering tie rods are connected to the knuckles?

If there is resistance, then there is blockage somewhere. Find the hinderance and remove it. Shouldn't be anything real hardcore. At worst the axles could be the cause.

He means the wheels won't rotate, not "they won't steer".

Depending on what axles you run, there is a metal spacer that is in the hub of the EF and there is a dust ring on the end of the axle....if these are on when you tighten the wheel on to the hub...the wheel will hardly move.
