Car won't start. Please help.
The other day my car was sputtering and then it died and wouldn't crank. It had fuel but no spark. So I buy a msd modded cap and use some ford coil that just looks the same as a aftermarket coil. The new coil doesn't "test" the same as the old one in volts. I tested the wires coming from the dizzy that i took off the old coil. They are 12v when you try to crank it. I replaced the rotor too. Any help would be great.
By the way its a 88 hf with a b18a1 and obd-1 conv.

have some one crank the car look at the pulley on the side of the motor .. see if its turning. if its not you snapped the timing belt ~maybe the spark plugs coulb be fouled if it was sputtering.good luck
could be the ignitor....my ignitor went poopoo before and the car didnt start....the ignitor is the brown thing under the coil in the distributor
ok well, its in the dizzy but I just replaced it and still nothing. So heres what has been replaced.
coil, rotor, cap, ignitor. plugs are good and the wires. someone saisd their is like a solenoid in the dizzy that will go out and not give my coil any amps to spark but I will still se the 12V to the coil. Is this true. THEN do I need a new dizzy?
