Default Can someone answer this?

I have a 5th gen lude and sometimes when I come to a stop I hear this creaking noise coming from the rear end of the car. Does anyone know what is the cause of this and if it is a normal problem?

Sounds like that 'shock-knock' problem. It's supposedly typical in a lot of 5th gens. I don't know anything much about it, maybe someone else can help you...mine doesn't do it so I never read into it.

If its a creaking noise maybe your rear swaybar bushings need to be greased up a bit. If its a knocking sound, then you have the dreded shock-knock.

I don't think it is shock-knock because it is just a creaking noise. I will check the bushings. Thanks for your help guys. Does anyone know what else I might check?

Teeth of the rear brakes on all cars creak, are you holding your e-brake?

No, not holding the e-brake. I know it is not the brakes, it sounds like it is coming somewhere from the suspension. It doesn't do it that often, it just does it faintly every now and then.
