I just picked up an EK, and i already got a check engine light. I plug in my OBD2 reader and it turns on for a second and shuts off. i try another reader and it cannot scan for the car. Anyone else have this problem when trying to read the code? Hopefully i didnt get suckered into buying a peso shiet. =|

I've not seen that specifically, but I know that my code reader / datalogger (scanguage actually) occasionally will not read for a few drive cycles. It'll still show me sensor data, but show not ready on the codes. Does the same thing on my 00 Civic, 01 GSR ecu, and 99 CRV.

Usually driving it for a few minutes, shut off, repeat a couple times brings it back. Don't know why it does that. You might try that if you haven't already.
