i just bought a 1996 honda civic lx 4dr. it sat for couple months from previous owner. i just got it running again. none of the windows will go up or down.
-I checked all fuses for each individual window under the dash. all are good
-Checked the power fuse for power windows under the dash. good
-Checked the power window fuse in the engine bay fuse box. good
What else could be wrong? or what else should i check?

Sometimes the window will stick, if it sticks, try to push down a little, not a lot, to see if anything happens?

oh lol ok got cha. alright ill try that, honestly tho it just doesnt even sound like any of the window regulator/motors are even like attempting to move at all
well i have the same issues with my 4 door but actually i found wear and tear at both harnesses behind the fender so then i bought these doors cause i had to replace both my doors on the passenger side and then i found out the wires started snapping off the harness which is best i have to rewire the harness again with new civics from the junk yard now everything seems to works fine btw also check the main window relay and dont forget to check wiring connection behind the fenders on both front doors they tends to snap from time to time and then there would no more connection
my car is 96 4 door and i found this out but going thru the harness

EKs are notorious for the wires pulling out of the plugs between the door and the car inside the rubber boot. They get brittle and snap mine did the same thing I cut one out of a car in the junk yard and soldered it in works fine now. I'm betting its the one in the driver door.
Silvertc, did you try all the switches and not just the driver switch?
I've also never heard of any common problem about wiring pulling out of the plugs or boots for these cars. I've owned two and my boyfriend used to have one too. I work parts and have for years and I've never had a customer come in with that problem either.

Maybe it's not that common or it could be because I live at the beach on the east coast and the salt air eats the wires up faster. I know 4 or 5 guys that have had this problem.
I had this current car in DE for maybe three years or so. Then I drove it to CT and then WA, where I live now.
I used to work parts then and was big into 6G Civics then too. Never heard about it then either. Weird you've experienced it in so many cars.
I'd say this might be it, but you mentioned your friends' cars too. I have no idea.
Maybe like you said it has something to do with being right up near the beach.
i live in cali and the wires on this car seems all to snap off around the booth area, well atleast its a new issue we found it tends to snap from time to time of the doors being open and close for daily use
