High compression 2&3 cylinders VERY lean
Ok, so I have 12:1 compression pistons with a stage one comp cams zex cam, in a D16Z6. it idles ok, but when you try to drive it normally it cuts in and out really aggressively untill like four grand, then it runs ok. My fuel pressure is 50psi, and i have stock injectors and computer. cylinders 2 and 3 had some really really white spark plugs, but 1and 4 are totally fine. when I advance it the cutting in/out is worse but it screams afterwards, and when I retard it a lot it gets the cutting away, but has zero top end power to speak of. is this a cam timing issue, spark timing issue, or a fuel issue (injectors bad or computer messed up?)
trying to get home for thanksgiving would help if i could fix it today, thank you!

You are running a stock computer without a tune?
That is your problem, it is not mechanical or hardware, you are not tuned.
If there is indeed a problem with #2/3 running lean, most tuning software systems for OBD1 ECU's have individual cylinder trim, and can compensate for this situation.

ok, that is good to know, I had this same set up two weeks ago and It ran fine, but then after lik 1200 miles, it smoked and the cylinders were scored just barely (hone took them out) what would the difference be now? is it possible to drive this without damaging the engine?
It is hard to say.
You are most likely running lean, and the ignition maps are not ideal for 12:1 compression.
If you want to do it on the cheap, you can get a basemap from someone with a similar setup. You would just need a socketed ECU.
The proper way would be to get a good street tune or dyno tune.
Are you OBD1 or OBD0? There are tuning solutions for both, but OBD1 has better products available (eCtune, Neptune, Hondata...etc).
