i have a standard bore b18a and was thinking of using some different pistons for my vtec head swap. what pistons will work without having to bore my block? will b18c or b16a pistons with a standard bore fit? thanks

B16A (PR3) pistons will work, and give you a 11.3:1 compression ratio if everything else is stock.

 

are you sure its that high? cause if it is i just might yank these pr3's out of the shortblock.

 

All B series pistons are interchangeable except for the B20. JDM CTR pistons will give you the highest comp., but piston to valve clearance is really close especially when doing an lsvtec set up.

any problems with using a 1 layer head gasket? any clearance problems with stage 2 cams?

 

i thought you can use the stock head gasket ????
