Hey I'm planning to swap this into my car. Sorry if its a noob question but what is this black wire suppose to be going to? and what is it? TIA

the big shiny bolt in the middle of the first pic is where it goes.

it looks like the square clip that was on it broke off. it doesnt go to the one that has the nut on it. the one with the nut goes is positive. its the smaller prong right next to it on the starter.

starter... be careful if ur battery is hooked up, mine's sparked pretty good a few times when it popped off

thanks for all the replies. And your right it does look like it was broke off. How do i approach this? Should i just try to solder it together? and another question.. in the last picture by the blue rag there is a red/black wire with a clip on it. Is that a ground of some sort? Thanks

yeah ground it on top of the thermostat housingwith a 10 mm.

solder a new terminal on the starter solenoid wire, and the other is a ground that goes on the termostat housing. without the ground it will never start. it wont without the starter one either

alright. Where would be the most convenient place to buy a starter terminal? I know I could go to a wrecking yard but thats just a waste.
