you know if replacing the inner is any hard? compared to the outer?
well after doing the whole thing, dont i have to bring my car to the shop for an alignment check or for them to make the alignment straight again?

the inner aren't that bad. just have to remember when doing the inner tie rods, have your key turned on(or how ever far you need it turned to be able to move steering wheel) so you can turn your steering wheel. it will help to reach the inner tie rod.
another thing to know. there is a washer type thing(not sure what it is called) that is pinched/folded to hold the inner tie rod on the rack. it's hard to describe with out a picture. that will really be your only hard part in taking out the tie rod.
to align, yes, take it to a shop, but get it as close as you can before going though.
Jack the car up and put your hands at 3 and 6 o-clock wiggle the wheel back and forth. Have a buddy under the car to tell you if the the play is comming from inside the boot on the steering rack or from the ball joint on the end of the outter tie rod. Outters are easy, inners are a little more difficult.
If it is the inners, you don't need to buy boots unless they are ripped. You only need to buy the clamps and the tool to tighten the clamps.. they're not to bad either as far as price.

THANKS guys, it really helped a lot getting tips!

you guys know any aftermarket brands of tie rods? i might want to do that because my civic is an h22 swapped so thats probably another reason why its in this condition, i need something that can handle h22 in a civic.

it'll be a pain but just get autozone lifetime tie rods. if it goes out just go back and replace it for free. and once you've done it, it'll be a little easier the next time.

Everything is sold seperately. And I highly recommend getting an alignment. I just changed my inner tie rods and have been too busy to get an alignment. My brand new 20k mile tires look to only have 2k miles left after being out of wack for only 5 days (200 miles if lucky). And yes, my tires were BRAND NEW.
hey, my boots all ripped, so i will need new ones.
all i need to get are the Rack & Pinion Boot Kit correct?
sorry to bother but i might plan to get the stuff this weekend, actually the cash to do it now.
replay back asap. thanks.
