Weird Idle, how to use Multimeter?
Okay I have this super annoying idle that does a whole bunch of random idle problems.
Sometimes the CEL comes on as if the 3p connector is disconnected from the IACV, and it acts just like the 3p connector is disconnected (surging, high, idle 1300rpm-ish, very jerky when tapping or letting go of gas) its very weird when this happens when I turn off the engine and turn on the the ignition to II without cranking it automatically turns my engine back on. This happens like once every 2 days, and it throws out code 14, which is IACV.
Sometimes I just have a flucuating idle it goes up and down from 1100-1300 rpm back and forth as many as 20 times and sometimes only like 3 times.
Sometimes my idle just stays higher than usual, when the radiator fan isn't on, it stays around 1100, and goes even higher when radiator fan comes on.
Things I did to try to solve the problems, Took out Throttle body cleaned IACV, replaced pcv valve, adjusted idle screw, got tune up.
I hear air in cooling system can cause flucuation, But I already bleed the coolant.
I also heard that the TPS and MAP sensor can mess up my idle, and to test the sensors with a multimeter. Well I just bought one but I don't know how to test them..
anyone knows how to test the sensors on TB with multimeter? or have any suggestions in general? thnxxx.

a good way to test for vacuum leaks is to block the throttle body with your hand after taking the intake off.
if the engine keeps running-you have a leak! good luck
bump on using the multimeter... could never figure those things out. lol
