Default FI Forum's Opinion on Ebay Turbo Kit

I have been looking into putting together my own kit for my 00" b18c1 Hatch... While looking at just piecing a kit together, it looks like I could atleast save a "little" cash on little stuff like fittings, intercooler, etc..by possibly just buying a kit like this..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA...Q5fAccessories

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with buying a complete kit like the one above...also, what kind of experience you've had with the kit, and also what would be the best portions of that kit or a kit like that to upgrade right away or atleast at first... For the time being I am only shooting for something around 250-300whp max

I appreciate any and all comments you guys can give!

i had an ebay kit on my ls swapped crx... made it to like 280ish whp on my setup full ebay stuff running like 13 lbs.

the blowoff valve leaked bad, the wastegate seeped slightly, and the turbo oil seals seeped a little right out of the box. the intercooler was very cheap, the fins were large and it didnt appear to do its job very well based on its design.

you can search and find like 100 threads like the one u just started though....

my advise is ebay parts are for people who dont know anything about turbo'ing a car and are just looking to f*ck around with a low budget project or learn how to turbo a car before investing huge money into quality parts. dont expect stuff to fit correctly, and dont expect stuff to last.
