How hard would it be for me to clean my own radiator? and should i just take it to a shop to get it done. thanks in advance for the help.

 

i thought there is something u can flush down it to clean it? anyone else seen this before?

Better of just taking it to your local radiator shop. Have them do a rod and boil, unless it's an original plastic tank radiator, then I would just get a new one for about $85.00-$100.00.

 

thanks. the only problem is that in san antonio there's hundreds of radiator shops and i just moved here so i don't know who i can trust messin with my car and who i cant. sounds good though.

 

Radiator pops off quick if you wanna take it in. Otherwise you can run some Prestone cleaner through it and flush it a few times, draining the block as well. The block drain bolt is a few inches to the left and up from the oil filter... can't really see it.
