WHICH HEAD SHOULD I USE FOR LS/VTEC?
I'd have to agree with 541DB1 and go with the b16 head, just for the fact of better flow, and don't do what most ******** do and slap a vtec head on an ls and expect it to be super fast, do some research before you get into doing something like this
BOTH HEADS FLOW NEARLY IDENTICAL. The GSR head will get you slightly more compression and is less prone to detonation due to the shape of the chambers. Some like the stock gsr manifold, some hate it.
My suggestion: If you find both heads and are trying to decide, pick whichever one is in the best condition for the price, since either will work just fine.

looks like you should have searched too and found out that both heads flow about the same.

Gsr for more compression or b16 for maybe turbo in the future.. i'd personally would go with the gsr more compression. Just get a set of b16 pistons and your compression would be pretty good. For a poor man ls/v..
I have a B16 head on my LS/V but It's ported with a 3 angle job along with JDM ITR piston and JDM CTR cams. I got lucky on mine got it cheap and had it tested and check out at a machine shop finding that it had 1 bent valve. I end up replacing all the valves, springs, valve guides, etc.
