Research is your friend:

The P39 does not need a knock sensor. Same with the PT3 and PT6 from USDM accords. P39 is over-priced and I can tell you from personal experience it won't make the motor run any better than the PT3 or 6, or the the stock P14 with a knock sensor installed on your F22b.

Lots of options here, but if you want the P39 get your checkbook out.

If your worried about engine lights get a pt3 ecu from a usdm accord. They are 30-50 dollars compared to the 150+ for the p39 ecu, or knock sensor.

I drove my f22b on my p14 from the prelude for months with no troubles. The knock sensor went bad quickly, and I always had a light on. I put the pt3 in and the light went out, but the performance was the same.

Taking it further when I put a f22b ecu in the performance was the same.

In my opinion the pt3 is just perfect considering the price, and lack of knock sensor circuit.

I ran my F22B on the p14 ... just welded a bolt on the block and threaded the knock sensor in ... never had any problems with the knock sensor after that
