When does VTEC engage in.....
this is heavily debated. some say 3500, some 4K, some say 5250... no one knows for sure... not that I have come across thus far anyway.

in the 98+ v6 accords it does not matter what mph it only matters what rpm and i hope you meant to say that it does not hit the high lobe on the cam because the way you worded it it sounds like another cam starts working. Just wondering
On the 4 cyl. accords I was under the impression that the vtec didn't switch to the high setting until 5000 rpm, though i've tested mine in the high 3000 rpm range. When does vtec switch over on the F22's and F23's?
