ok, so the head gasket was replaced, the timing is right, I have fuel, I have spark, the distributor is perfectly fine, plugs and wires are all good, the car cranks but won't start. I checked all the grounds and they are fine. I am stumped, this thing should start and run.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

how did u check fuel? r ur fuel lines hooked up right? that was my problem on a mazda i owned. fuel in the lines, spark compression but the lines where switched.

 

Start by double checking the mechanical timing.

Are the plug wires in the wrong firing order on the distributor cap?

Have you measured the cylinder compressions?

 

the timing was a tooth off and then readjusted, the plug wires are in the correct firing order, I was planning to check compression tomorrow. thanks for the suggestions, any other ideas? maybe something simple I am overlooking?

 

i had the same problem
problem was tht one of the fuses was gone
so check the fuse box by your driver seat
see if tht helps

 

also check your main relay
