Master Power Window switch question...
I have a '96 LX sedan. I need a new master power window switch that goes in the driver's door (4 buttons & window lock toggle). I browse the interwebs looking for a good price, and I start to get the impression that Honda used switches from two different manufacturers on these cars. Those two different switches are differentiated by the color of the plastic backing, and of course they are not interchangeable. The switch in my car (that needs replacing) has white plastic on the back and this appears to be the switch manufactured by "TRW", as opposed to the switch with the black plastic on it which was manufactured by "Toyo" or "Weastec". All of the replacement parts that I have been able to find seem to not be compatible with the "TRW" switch, and I have seen "fit warnings" listed on some of the parts.
Surely I'm not the only person who has run up against this, and would love to avoid any headaches by ordering the wrong part. Does anyone have some insight to share?

X2 Go to a junk yard and see if you can get the whole switch and plastic piece the same color as your interior. Brand new switches are so expensive.
