i have a d16z6 in my 88 crx, and want to know what the timing hsould be set at... i still have the a6 distributor on the car so dont have a wide range to adjust my timing.. what timing are you guys runing on your setups????

 

I'm running 16 and a half on my Y8 with 94 octane gas... stock for my engine is 14, I believe.

how u gys manage to know exactly what degrees its exactly at?? are u taking in consideration the middle mark or what?

yeah i know what u mean..... but when people say i got it @ 16 deg or 19 deg, por whatever.. how do they exactly know that?

What if the timing gun is cheap and has no degrees on it? I have alwyas wondered that, I ran 15.9s last night with everything on my setup listed below except my header, when I should be running mid to low 15s. I have ran a 15.8 with a ZC. I am thinking my timing is way off on my distributor, but it pulls harder on the street. That 15.9 also had my stock clutch slipping in 2nd and 3rd.. My trap speed was 87.xx or something, but.. Anyway im going to bed...
