Icon3 d16z6 in ef wont start

i just got my z6 into my 91 civic std made my own jumper harness and converted everything to obd1 and tied all the yellow wires with black stripe from the injectors together wired in for vtec and the 4 wire o2 and the extra 2 dizzy wires and im running the p28 ecu i am getting a spark but first off the distributor i have doesnt bolt up right even tho it is from a 92-95 civic which may be the problem even tho its getting a spark????? can here the injectors priming when trying to start and the fuel pump when i turn the key any advise???? need this car running by saturday or the owner of the house is threatening to get it towed away please help me

Does your starter turn the motor over? If it does and all your wiring is fine, when I swapped motors(to h22 not z6) I forgot to ground the head which fixed the problem for me.

yea it is cranking which is how i know im gettting spark and fuel it just wont even turn over it just keeps on cranking

so is your head grounded? Did you rotate the dizzy when cranking it over to adjust it?

yes head is grounded and i have rotated the dizzy any which way i could still no start

hm...you can try spraying starter fluid(SMALL amount) on your air filter to see if that kick starts it

ok i will try that tomorrow if that works what would be the problem?
not getting enough fuel?

yes if it starts with starter fluid then its a fuel problem. but really it sounds like your dizzy is 180 out.

Why isn't it bolting up right? Sort that out first, then if that doesn't fix your problem, try something else.

I tho the dizzy could only go in 1way?
When some one did the timingbelt on my car(before I bought it) they left the cam 180 off so that made it run like crap once I got it to fire

its almost impossible to make a Dseries 180 out Key on distributor is keyed to fit only one way

i just found out i have the non vtec dizzy but the only thing that is different on the vtec than the non vtec is the internals are 180 out i will try that and update if it doesnt work

well that didnt work and i broke both the little pins that go into the hole off so i have to get a new dizzy anyway dont know how they f--kin broke off but the did so i had to pull the valves cover off and the part that covers the cam gear and dig out the metal pieces so im off to the junk yard to find the right dizzy hopefully

yes it is possible...when i bought my hatch my dizzy was 180 out...tripped me out cause i would have plugs plugged into opposites and it would run right...

Mine was too glad some1 else had same issue so I don't look crazzzzzy
