big brakes and bushings, where to buy?
I need huge brakes, front and rear disc. Finding fronts is easy but who knows where i can get a big brake kit for the rear: calipers, performance pads for em, and rotors?
Also where should i buy a complete Energy suspension bushing kit? Best price? what price should i expect to pay (i'm thinkin $250's the lowest i've seen)
I just found out i can use the 12 ton press at my work so the changeover should be easy!
Thanks all ~ Peter

This place has good prices on bushings: http://www.suspension.com/civic You could go with www.fastbrakes.com for rear brakes, but it doesn't replace the caliper.

why do you need big brakes?
try these guys
or buy AEM, PM racing, brembo, Wilwood, etc. kits... ah hell just open any speed mag and you'll see ads, they will make you rear kit as well.
still don't know why...

i'm kidding. HAH wouldnt that **** ya off.
i'm just building up my CRX, my stock brakes are fine but better is.. better..
I need to install my rear disc assembly soon and just want to do everything at once. i need to do the front pads plus the rotors i have were drilled by the guy that owned my rex before so they'll crack and rust pretty soon.
I want it to be all around perfect and love working on it. I'll autoX it as soon as i feel its ready. It's still a daily driver.
Do you think i should upgrade the mastercylinder or stick with the 7/8?
And what do you think of that setup with an adjustable brake proportioning valve, nessesary?
already have braided steel lines.
I think thats about all i could possibly do... aside from a drag parachute!
you'll need the larger master cylinder if you're upgrading to 11"+ brakes up front, and the rears won't help in pedal feel either with the stock MC. and besides, a new MC is only around $40-$60 at AutoZone, so why not, eh?
i got some AEM big brakes never used still in the box i wanna sell .. hit me up . nitrousdreamz@hotmail.com

its the kit to use your stock calipers. it has the rotors and all the hardware to use your stock calipers and brake pads.must have a 16 inch rim or bigger.

my strong suggestion is to email bryan at fastbrakes. he does have four piston calipers for both front and back. front 11.75, back 11. all using wilwood calipers. cheap too, relatively. i have 1" MC and 95 GSR brakes with slotted disks and SS lines. it does work a whole lot better. make sure you get ready to lock you wheels much faster. could be VERY surprising...
good luck.

Fastbrakes have 11" in front and 11.440" in the rear.I don't think they have a 4 pistons kit for the rear....
As for the Master, the 15/16 form a 'Lude 90-91(non-abs) or a Zizic EX(???),is the way to go with that kit.
Maybe the 1" M/C could be a bit better, but you'll have to change the booster and have to bend one line.
The 15/16 is bolt-on and it flow enought.
Track tested here.

yes the 1" was a pain (according to my mech, he did the install). fastbrakes at least used to provide the four piston for the rears. but i haven't talked to bryan in a while, so i don't know. since i have GSR knuckles and UCA, i can use their 11.75 rotor system with superlite wilwoods. here is the link
brayn can manufature your custom setup if you ask.

wow thanks mang!
Relitively cheap for the 4 piston wilwoods - 11" all around - with everything i'll need is about 1000$ even, right?
And yea i'll give him a call, if its too much i'm sure he'll know of a better setup for me. Thanks again
and btw my SSR PR0's are 16 inches so i'll be pushing it. But damn those will fill up the wheel, that'll look awsome!
