I am going to be putting a 2000 H22 non-SH into my 1997 CE coupe in a few weeks. I have finally found a 5spd lx harness in Oregon of all places.
Anyhow on to my question. What did you guys do about the resistor box that is on the accord harness? I will be using a 1996 vtec ECU and the 2000 engine of course. The injectors on this engine have the injector resistor made onto them therefore they do not need an external resistor box. I suppose that you can just make a shorting plug for the connector that plugs into the injector box and bypass it. I am wanting someone to confirm this for me. Any help would be appreciated.....

Not trying to be hateful or anything but the info I need is not on that page unless I overlooked it. I read it like 3 times and still didn't see the answer to my question. Am I just simply over looking it?
honestly i dont know many ppl who use such a new engine. i would say go around it and try to hit obd1.. but you already have all that stuff?? HMM... i dont know what to do. sorry

Okay here's the deal I have a 2000 H22A in my 90 Accord using an OBDI(93-96) ECU. You are gonna have to change the injectors to OBDI or put resistor packs in them or it won't idle properly, TRUST ME!!!!!. The OBDI ECU isn't gonna like the resitance level with the OBDII injectors but it will run. By the way change your Distributor too to OBDI cuz the OBDII distributor doesn't have a cam angle sensor in it so you won't be able to change your timing since the timing is adjusted on the 2000 H22A by the ECU not the distributor.

Well my car is an OBD II 1997 accord and the ecu I will be running is a 1996 OBD II usdm ecu. 96+ H22 had injector resistors on the injectors themselves. The reason for the 1996 ECU is to avoid the immobilizer in the 2000 ECU. On OBD I H22 engines the injector resistor was external just like my OBD II SE coupe accord. Unfortunately the OBD II H22 is not this way as stated above. As far as timing my engine H22 has the crank angle sensor located down @ the harmonic balancer just like all OBD II honda engines. That applies to all 96+ H22's. You adjust the timing on this engine just like any other honda engine. Short the plug under right side of dash and turn the distributor forward or reverse to advance or retard the timing.
Am I wrong here? Any help... I hate to say that everyones info is wrong I may be wrong
. I am just stating what I know...

That is noted in my head now and thanks. I looked @ my electrical manual and sure enough 1996 had the external resistor pack on the H22 and from 1997 + the resistors are on the injectors themselves. Thanks for making me look over to the other diagram....
