Wiring Issue, big headache
Ok so my brother has an 89 Sedan LX (my old car). Nothing was wrong with it until it sat around for a few months. His headlights blew so he put new ones in. Next thing you know the rubber is literally melting off the wire. Then the distributor blew probably because of the wiring. I was working everyday while he was working on it and really had no time to look at it. He took it to a mechanic and he said it was such a mess he couldn't wire it and gave it back to him. My question is, can I hardwire the headlights onto a seperate switch (not the switch on the steering wheel) without burning off the rubber. Im deff not a wiring person I hate it.. but he needs the car for night work. Thanks
Done that a million times and so did the mechanic, is there anyway just to wire them to a switch and use a relay or something, like I said I hate wiring but there has to be a way without changing the whole harness
i dont recommend wiring them to a switch so if that is what you really want to do than to make it work normally then search the FAQ 2.0 section on the main page for switch write-ups...!!!
